Head of Strategic Workforce Management

SSCL are recruiting for a Head of Strategic Workforce Management, responsible for management and delivery of outstanding Workforce management. Reporting to the Strategy Director, this is a phenomenal opportunity for a leader to join the organisation andmake a difference to our clients across the MOD.

As the Strategic WFM, you'll be responsible for day to day operation and oversight of the strategic workforce management process - this is a role that blends hands on process delivery & operations with data analysis and insight, with a clear focus on improvingour resourcing maturity and ecosystem, organisational competence and capability development.

We’re seeking an engaging, resilient, hands-on and self-motivated individual, who’ll bring the team and the wider business on a WFM transformation journey. Strong data literacy is crucial, as is WFM process-specific experience and understanding (e.g. forecasting& efficiency management).

This role is Hybrid-Variable, meaning you can work from home or be on-site as much or as little as you want. There will be travel to Gosport/Glasgow/London and to client sites.

**What you'll be doing**:

- Implementing and driving operative and data-driven WFM solution across SSCL Defence, drawing on outstanding practice from within and without SSCL
- Crafting & delivering predictive & consolidated E2E resource profiling and continuous organisational maturity across WFM & partner ecosystem
- Insight & management information/ reporting on resource profile, breakdown and vacancy/ hire profile across our organisation, including parameters such as attrition, future resourcing horizon needs (toolset selection and implementations as appropriate)
- Workforce Management capability development & talent planning SME (with HR & COO), including developing our partner ecosystem

**What you'll bring**:

- Experience of accountability for leading & operating a resourcing or workforce management function (or equivalent), with full lifecycle exposure and responsibility.
- Experience of supporting resource efficiency across large & sophisticated programmes and business units.
- A high level of data literacy and experience in managing large and sophisticated data sets
- Experience of delivering analytics & management information/ reporting on resource profiling & future horizon growth, attrition & risk profiling across our organisation, and related capability development-specific activities.
- Experience of implementing outstanding processes and toolsets to support WFM.
- Experience of previously supporting major and sophisticated programmes or business lines
