**The role**
Technical Pre-Sales provides a trusted technical interface between the customer, their requirements and what products and services will best meet their needs. A resource to give the business the best possible chance of winning complex technical opportunities.
**Key Responsibilities include**:
- Key point of contact for Business Development and the customer for all technical pre-sales queries
- Support Business Development teams from a technical perspective throughout the Sales process.
- Support Technical Product Development for solution testing and configuration when required
- Ensure the customer requirements are understood and deliver clarity on how these requirements will be met via the proposed solution(s).
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to explore all solution options ensuring the customer requirements and business objectives can be met.
- Engender customer relationships, with the aim of becoming a trusted partner.
- Analyse and manage risk and issues throughout the sales cycle, helping assess and evaluate them proactively putting mitigation plans in place.
- Define the scope of the solution & document in an agreed Statement of Work format which can be consumed by the customer and will be used as a template by technical and operational teams to deliver the solution.
- Support Customer & Partner marketing campaigns (Webinars, Blogs, articles etc)
- Support RFP & RFI responses as part of the major bid team
- Provide customer and market feedback to the Product Teams
- Lead the transition of solutions from sales to Technical Delivery.
**Key Skills required**:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in IoT / MNO / MVNO environment
- Experience of IoT Connectivity sales
- Proposal / HLD writing experience
- A developed knowledge of the core elements utilised in providing cellular connectivity.
- Experience in Connectivity Management Platforms an advantage.
- A functional understanding of IP networks an advantage
- Natural ability to build rapport to achieve engagement from a wide variety of people
- Commercially confident to discuss complex topics with high-level decision makers
- Excellent written, face to face and phone communication skills
- An ability to influence decision-makers |Works effectively & collaboratively in a team
- A desire to 'get things done'
- Ability to work independently |The ability to learn quickly and absorb new concepts
