**What you’ll be doing**

We are currently recruiting for a Software Asset Management Lead, this is an excellent opportunity for someone currently working as a Software Analyst to take the next step in their career. This is a brand new role for the business so offers real opportunityto shape and take leadership in the position.

In this role you will be the operational software lead, taking ownership and responsibly for the end-to-end management and delivery of BWB’s software estate. The role will be responsible for delivering effective software asset management through all stagesof the software lifecycle, including the planning, acquiring, deploying, managing, optimising, auditing and retiring of software assets. This role requires both technical and operational business understating to introduce the process and delivery improvementsacross the breadth of operational, engineering and environmental software in use at BWB

Identify and deliver business software requirements and efficiency improvements by:

- Taking ownership of Software Asset Management within the business.
- Creation and management of a role-based software matrix
- Creation and management of a software update schedule
- Creation, and continual improvement, of software management processes
- Reporting of software use metrics for compliance management and capacity planning
- Assisting in managing and tracking budget spend and in financial forecasting

You will be responsible for software supplier and contract management and produce licensing documentation for the IT team and business.

In this hybrid role you will work with the wider IT team to lead software deployment and integration planning, including testing with operational team software owners, and investigate solutions and work arounds to mitigate any deployment challenges.

You will:

- Maintain an excellent working relationship with business software stakeholders and suppliers
- Support members of the IT team and wider business with software management best practice
- Ensure appropriate standards, procedures and license compliance is adhered to
- Keep up to date with emerging technologies, innovations and software best practice which would benefit the

business

**What you’ll bring**

It is essential you have the following experience and skills:

- 2+ year experience of managing a varied software estate in a busy corporate environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build positive relationships
- Supplier and stakeholder management experience
- Deep understanding of software licensing models and license management best practices
- Working experience of contract and license management tools.
- Demonstrable experience in planning, deploying and integrating software solutions across a multi-site environment
