Senior Building Surveyor (Regional Technical Asset Manager) UPP, the leading provider of on-campus residential accommodation infrastructure, operates over 35,000 rooms in partnership with 15 world‑leading universities across the UK. Reporting to the Head of Technical Asset Management within UPP’s Asset Management Division, this role will lead asset management at seven University campuses across the Midlands and North of England, specifically planning and delivering life cycle and asset replacement programmes, delivering refurbishment, modernisation and sustainability projects as well as supporting defect management. You will lead on intelligent asset management planning, including condition analysis and data gathering on the estate, analysing trends, and working on options appraisal to inform long‑term and short‑term investment strategies. Key Responsibilities Lead asset management at seven university campuses across the Midlands and North of England. Plan and deliver life cycle and asset replacement programmes. Deliver refurbishment, modernisation and sustainability projects, including defect management. Conduct condition analysis and gather data on the estate. Analyse trends and prepare options appraisal reports to inform long‑term and short‑term investment strategies. Lead a team, manage multi‑disciplinary consultants and work with stakeholders across the business. Qualifications & Experience Experience of building surveying activities including whole life costing, condition analysis and asset replacement planning and delivery. Technical and commercial understanding of the project management of strategic maintenance and refurbishment projects and programmes. Ability to work on a portfolio with comparable characteristics to UPP’s campus accommodation. Excellent communication skills and a can‑do attitude.
