Role: Asset and Configuration Manager

Location: Nottingham

**Salary**: £40,000-£45,000

Key Responsibilities:

- Work with the Change and Release Manager, Major Incident and Problem Manager to ensure all processes are aligned as per ITIL best practice
- Define and communicate the service Asset Management policy and standards across the business
- Work alongside the IT Service & Operations team and help deliver the population of the asset register and configuration management database
- Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of Asset and Configuration Management processes
- Organise any changes to the configuration management database that may impact non-production and production/live services
- To identify, control, record, report, audit and verify configuration items, including versions, baselines, constituent components, their attributes, and relationships
- Analysis of data, including from Asset Management toolset and corporate systems to identify issues, trends, improvements and to make forecasts of future needs

Skills and Qualifications required:

- Strong established background within an IT Asset and Configuration technical and services management role in an outsourced environment
- Skilled in taking the lead in Asset and Configuration Management within a fast-paced and ever-changing tech environment
- Demonstrable knowledge in IT Service Management processes
- Proven ability and experience in introducing ITIL processes
- ITIL Service Lifecycle Management Processes - ITIL v3/4 Certifications
- Previous experience with IT Service Management toolsets (e.g., Service Now, Microsoft SCCM)
- Knowledge of/experience in the technologies that support ITAM (CMDSs, auto-discovery, SAM tools)
- Up to date knowledge on Assets and CMDB models and methodologies
- Knowledge of licensing agreements involving software
