**Do you want to play a key supporting role in the transformation of Cumbria's premier museum?**
Join the dedicated Tullie team as the Active Gallery Producer working on Breaking Down Barriers - Phase 3 of Project Tullie, the museum’s major capital development programme which celebrates our roots as Carlisle’s centre for learning and creativity and reimagines them for 21st century audiences.
This fixed-term post will support the curatorial team with essential collections management throughout the duration of the project. If you're a details person with an enthusiasm for collections management and who thrives as part of a team, we'd love to hear from you.
Working in close collaboration with colleagues across the Museum, as well as designers, external partners and our community, this is a unique and exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in the delivery of this transformational project for Carlisle and Cumbria.

**Purpose of the Role**
The role will support the curatorial team with essential collections management during the decant and recant of collections, as part of the development of the Active Gallery - an innovative new visitor experience that will bring 100,000 artefacts out of stores and into public galleries, in response to audience demand to access more of our collections.
The role will have a specific focus on:
- Supporting with collection stores moves and associated collections management and documentation.
- Working with the Curators to address historic documentation backlogs to facilitate greater collections access, with a particular focus on the Archaeology, Social History and Natural Science collections.
- Supporting the Curatorial Team to increase access to the collection within the Active Gallery and associated public programmes.
