Due to our growth, we are currently looking for an experienced HR Advisor who excels in a fast-paced, varied, and interesting role to support the HR department with a range of activities, including managing ER matters and providing generalist HR solutions.
**Details**
- Job title: HR Advisor
- Report to: Company Director
- Salary: Pro-rata of £30,000 per annum
- Working hours: 12 hours per week, preferably over four days
- Location: flexible, preferably more office-based
**Job purpose**
The post holder will support the Company Director on key operational HR and other projects to ensure smooth delivery of tasks and consistency. The post holder will strive to provide excellent customer service both within the organisation and to our clients.
**Responsibilities and Duties include**:
- **HR**_
- Manage ER cases, including grievance, sickness, absence, performance, disciplinary and investigation for a wide variety of clients to a professional standard.
- Responsible for staffing reviews, including preparation of consultation documents, holding consultation meetings, taking and circulating notes.
- Proactively develop, review, update and maintain company documents, such as policies, job descriptions, and Handbooks to reflect legislation and good practice.
- Provide effective support in recruitment and exit processes.
- Carry out employment status reviews.
- Track and report on status, risks, issues and dependencies for all projects within your area.
- Liaise and develop strong partnerships with key stakeholders to enable a collaborative and solution-focused approach in the delivery of our services.
- Provide expert guidance, coaching and support to key stakeholders on the full range of HR activities.
- Evaluate customer satisfaction following projects to ensure high-quality services are delivered.
- **General**_
- Proactively identify where improvements and efficiencies can be made, helping to ensure the right strategic outcomes are delivered with the predefined criteria and timeliness.
- Collaborate effectively with the team
- Provide occasional support and share relevant information to junior team members on projects to ensure the quality of the service is maintained and appropriate job training is provided.
- Carry out any other tasks at the request of the Company Director.
- **Education, Experience & Knowledge**_
- HR-related qualification or qualified by experience
- Substantial hands-on experience of advising and supporting management on grievances, sickness, absence, performance, disciplinary, recruitment, etc.
- Effective IT and HR systems knowledge
- Sound knowledge of employment law, including diversity and inclusion
- Evidence of continuing professional development and training
- Level 5 CIPD (or equivalent HR qualification) or working towards (Desirable)
- Experience of dealing with complex issues (Desirable)

- Excellent customer services skills with the ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels to build credibility, trust and respect
- Effective organisational, time management and decision-making skills to effectively organise allocated work activities, and work to tight deadlines
- Demonstrably good IT skills, including computer software, such as MS Office, Canva, and virtual learning environment
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
- Ability to analyse data and present summary information in a clear and concise format
- Strong administration skills, accuracy and attention to detail and able to complete tasks in a logical and thorough manner
