**The department**

Reporting to the Reward and Benefits Manager and working closely with HR Managers and Officers, this role supports the day-to-day delivery of a range of operational HR, HR systems and reward and benefits administration.

The role will focus on supporting the Cardiff-based Reward and Benefits and HR systems team, as well as supporting the new joiner onboarding process which is managed from London. The role holder will become involved in all aspects of the employee life cycle, including some involvement in employee relations matters, and L&D administration.

**Responsibilities**

Alongside the HR Managers/Officers, this role will assist with HR administration queries. Specific duties include but are not limited to the following:
**_HR Administration_**
- Payroll and benefits_
- Provide support to the Reward and Benefits Manager on key administrative tasks, including salary review and benefits administration, ensuring that all benefits information is inputted to the HRIS (Cascade) in an accurate and timely manner.
- Provide support to the HR Officer with the monthly payroll submission
- Provide guidance to staff regarding firm’s benefits package
- Update intranet and other reward and benefits-related communications
- HR Systems and Management Information_
- Assist the HR Assistants in maintaining the HRIS (“Cascade”) and ensure information is inputted accurately and in a timely manner, taking account of payroll deadlines including amendments to staff details (i.e. salary changes, hours, personal details etc.)
- Produce reports and other management information from Cascade.
- Invoices/Expenses_
- Ensure all reward and benefits invoices are checked, approved and received by the Finance team in a timely manner
- Assist the HR Assistant in process expense claims for the HR team
- Maintain accurate financial records accordingly
- Employee life cycle (Joiners/leavers/changes)_
- Support the HR Assistant with the following:

- Managing the joiner process, including production of offer letters and contracts
- Producing bespoke induction programmes for all new joiners including induction packs
- Diarising six week catch-ups and probation review meetings prompting relevant stakeholders where necessary
- Setting up and activating access to information systems including training site and appraisal platform
- Supporting the HR Assistant with the leaver process
- Assist the HR Assistant with the compliance tasks such as undertaking Right to Work checks
- Operational Support_
- Ensure that all administration processes supporting the range of HR operations are carried out accurately, thoroughly and in a timely manner
- Ensure that HR files are kept up to date at all times and in good order
- Archive leavers’ files (in line with GDPR compliance) and keep the leavers’ log up to date
- Assist the HR team on ad hoc projects and tasks when necessary
- Cyclical Projects_
- Provide ad hoc support to the HR team during peak times on core processes including, appraisals, trainee recruitment assessment days, apprenticeship schemes etc.

**Person Specification**

**Experience**
- Educated to A’level or equivalent by experience
- Experience of working in a team environment
- Experience of HR admin and having worked in a professional services environment would be advantageous

- Confident communication skills and a professional demeanour
- High degree of numeracy
- Curious mind-set and problem-solving skills
- Very strong attention to detail and excellent administration skills
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work quickly under pressure
- Able to prioritise competing and varied demands
- Flexibility to work some overtime on occasion
- Understands confidentiality of sensitive personal data to be preserved at all times
