**We have a fantastic opportunity to join a leading FMCG organisation as a Material Planner. As one of the leaders in confectionery and pet care, our client are a great company to progress your career.
This full-time position would be based in Slough and would operate a remote working policy currently, however travel to Slough may be required in future. This is a temporary opportunity for 6 months initially.
Company information
- A well known global brand, famous for their confectionery outputs. They are world-renowned in the food manufacturing industry, as well as in the pet care world.
As a Material Planner you will work in a team of 10 and will be responsible for the flow of raw materials to different sites across Europe. This will cover 10 factories, including 3000 deliveries per year.
Responsibilities
- As a Material Planner, you will be in control of all stages of purchase order execution until materials are delivered to site. You will place purchase orders and monitor deliveries, sending out regular delivery updates to suppliers.
- You will create forecasts, and conduct daily analysis of the changes in materials production demand. You will assess risks of potential material delivery disruptions, providing feedback for suppliers. You will propose solutions to minimise risks.
- You will receive and check all incoming invoices and pass on to customs specialists when needed.
- You will use SAP to track ongoing corrections and maintain relevant details.

What we are looking for
- An aptitude for systems and previous experience of SAP.
- Experience of working within logistics, and liasing with stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills.
