Materials Handling Coordinator

We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated, and driven individual to join us as Materials Handling Coordinator reporting to our Buyer.
**The key areas of responsibility are**:
- Goods receiving: Accepting and checking all deliveries being made to site; Booking in items onto the NAV system;
- Distribution of goods to the relevant departments; Advising the Buyer of any discrepancies.
- Dispatch: Booking all goods out of stock from the NAV system; Ensuring relevant paperwork has been created; Speaking with the drivers.
- Sub-Con: Overseeing parts being sent to sub-contract suppliers; Generating paperwork to support material movements and log.
- Consumable Stores: Managing inventory and generate weekly demand reports; Issuing stock to requesting department.
- Manage internal component movements between departments: Overseeing multi department jobs to ensure products are moved to the next department after partial completion.
- Manage inventory of customer tooling: Ensuring all tools are labelled correctly and itemised on a stock control sheet.
- Generation of paperwork and labels for newly launched job cards: Updating database for unique part numbers and print necessary labels; Updating and distribution of batch cards with unique part numbers and print; Ensuring purchased stock is available and ready to support launched jobs.
- Supplementary tasks: Demolding support activities with training support; participating in quarterly stocktaking activities; being responsible for moving larger parts through the facility using a forklift truck (training could be provided)
**Preferred Experience/Qualities**:
- Forklift licence
- IT skills, preferably using Microsoft Word and Excel
- Organised with a methodical approach
- Highly numerate
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritise and ensure deadlines are met
- Ability to read technical drawings would be an advantage
- Driving license essential
