**Role Summary**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Assist in the development of novel assays to investigate CAR T-cell function
- Assist in in vivo models to understand CAR T cell function and efficacy
- Interact with and support the work of senior research scientists within the Research group
- Using equipment, running QC tests and maintaining in functional condition
- Generate key proof of concept data to support project progress and advancement
- Work seamlessly with other scientific groups in the company
- Author experiment write-ups, reports and regulatory documentation
- Present at journal clubs and departmental lab meetings
- Assist in technology transfer of assays to the Clinical Assays and Process Development (Cell Manufacturing) groups
- Any other duties as required following consultation with the post-holder

**Demonstrated skills and competencies**
- MSc educated in Biology/Immunology or related discipline
- Familiarity with a range of immunological cell-based techniques
- Experience of mammalian cell culture
- A good understanding of cell biology and immunology
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Flexible, motivated with a positive attitude to problem-solving
- Capable of working independently, as well as being a team player
- Able to prioritize tasks and ensure all assigned tasks are performed in a timely manner, accurately and efficiently
- Experience of working in a laboratory environment is desirable, although full training will be given
