We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join a premier team of Construction Control Inspectors at the 422nd Civil Engineering Squadron, Royal Air Force (RAF) Croughton, United Kingdom.

**What will be your primary role?**

The primary purpose of this position is to perform inspection and surveillance of difficult and complex maintenance, repair and minor construction projects involving sophisticated mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic systems and equipment, ensuring contractor compliance with approved plans and specification for base facility operation and maintenance contract. You will monitor the Preventative Maintenance Program for all facility Heavy Repair structural maintenance, to include all documentation, both in paper format and within automated tracking systems and inspect all works to ensure that a high standard of quality and quantity is maintained. In addition, you will perform duties as a technical consultant to the contracting office and engineering flight and gather information to compile into written inspection reports. You will always comply with health, safety, and environmental rules and procedures and perform work in a manner that enhances the safety of the work environment.

One years Specialized experience as an Engineering Aid or Technician, Surveying Technician, Construction Inspector, Construction Representative or Supervisor of crafts-persons, equipment operators, or mechanics engaged in construction work.

**or** HND/HNC/BTEC, City and Guilds, NVQ level 3, or equivalent qualifications in an appropriate discipline, together with a minimum of three year’s work experience in the trade.

**or** two full years of graduate education or master's degree in the appropriate discipline.

**What are the Key Skills required for this role?**

1. Knowledge of construction inspection practices and procedures involved in the inspection of building materials, workmanship, utilities, and the installation of systems; and the practical methods and techniques of engineering principles relating to complex construction practices and procedures.

2. Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and structural aspects of major construction projects.

3. Knowledge of inspection and safety practices and procedures i
