**Job description**
We are looking for a dedicated part-time Credit Controller with proven experience to join our busy Finance Department on a maternity cover contract (12-months) with the potential to extend to a permanent contract, starting March-2025. Your role will be to provide support to our Finance Director and be responsible for the following tasks;
- Maintain sales ledger
- Maintain credit control
- Maintain time management system
- Perform general accounting tasks
- Maintain computing systems in the absence of the Finance Director
- Process receipts and unallocated cash to customer accounts through the computer system.
- Ensure sales invoices and credits are issued and controlled in accordance with accounting policies.
- Maintain credit control system in accordance with company policy.
- Open new accounts and monitor existing customer credit limits in accordance with our insurer requirements.
- Issuing overdue reminders.
- Chasing overdue debtors.
- Producing monthly statements for customers.
- Ensure disputed invoices are actioned and chased for resolution; provide customers with copy invoices/credit notes and statements as requested.
- Entering month end nominal ledger journals.
- Update, monitor and report holidays, overtime etc via the time management system.
- Maintain general filing systems.
- Perform general secretarial duties.
- Prepare management reports as and when necessary.
- Assist in the maintenance of the computer systems as required.
- Keep up to date with health, safety and environmental legislation.
- Other accounts admin tasks as required by the Finance Director.
- Provide holiday cover for the Purchase Ledger.
**What are we looking for in a Credit Controller?**
- Knowledge of credit control with a customer centric approach is a must.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft packages, Word, Outlook and Excel and able to pick up new systems quickly.
- Able to work at pace and deal with a high volume of queries with a good problem-solving mindset.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy with figures.
- Good communication skills.

- 5 days per week - Monday-Friday
- 22.5 hours per week
- 08.30-13.00 - can be flexible
