**Purchase Ledger Administrator (trainee)**
Based at our state-of-the-art head office and distribution centre on the outskirts of Preston, James Hall & Co. Ltd. have been established for over 150 years proudly serving communities across the north of England as supplier and distributor to over 600 SPAR stores.

**About the Role**
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our Accounts department as a Purchase Ledger Assistant. This is a great opportunity to build a career within finance and we are looking to support you in your development with AAT qualifications.
**Here’s What You Can Expect to be Doing**
You will receive full training and support while working across a range of activities within the finance department.
- Assisting with payment runs
- Identifying and resolving discrepancies prior to payments to suppliers
- Statement reconciliation
- General office duties
**A Few Things About You**
We are looking for a determined individual who wants an opportunity to develop and learn within the finance world.
- Good communication skills including over the telephone
- To be able to work on own initiative
- To be able to organise your workload and continuously meet deadlines
- To be able to work effectively as part of a team, providing cover where necessary.
- A Willingness to learn
