Summary We are looking for an Estate Management Officer to join the Let Estate team at our Cheshire Hub office which is responsible for looking after our portfolio of land and properties in Cheshire, Central Lancashire and West Yorkshire. You’ll provide key technicalsupport for our building and land use activities including taking responsibility for elements of the property letting process and maintaining data management systems and processes which support the efficient management of our let estate.

**Face to face interviews will be held week commencing 1st August in Altrincham.**

**We are looking at around £31,000 as a starting salary, this will be pro rata as this is a part time opportunity working 3 days per week (22.5 hours per week).**

What it's like to work here The management of our tenancies and assets, together with the relationships we have with our tenants, underpins our national £40m+ annual rental income and is absolutely essential to the delivery of our conservation work. We’ve recentlyredefined our strategy and made some significant changes to substantially improve how we do things in Estate Management.

The National Trust is the UK’s biggest private landowner and you will support with the management of the properties it owns and protects. You will be joining a team of 10 people, working office hours. You will be the one Estate Management Officer in theoffice and there are other Estate Management Officers in the North region and you would certainly be engaging with them, as well as colleagues nationally.

What you'll be doing Service will be a vital part of your role in order to build and maintain relationships across the portfolios with tenants and colleagues. Working as part of a wider team you’ll help to care for and manage our land and buildings by supportingthe delivery of the Estate Management Plans and wider National Trust conservation aims. You’ll work to ensure rent reviews are completed on time, vacant cottages are re-let as soon as possible, assist to ensure repairs are dealt with as efficiently as possible,estate recharges are issued, and compliance tasks are logged, as well as assisting Estate Managers with managing key performance indicators.

You’ll provide a professional service support to the Estate Managers for the management of residential, commercial and agricultural lettings including residential re-lets and marketing, responding to requests for information, advice and hands-on supportfor the Let Estate team, data analysis and management, credit checks, schedules of conditions, drafting basic legal documentation, assisting with, or when appropriate, leading on low complexity rent reviews and property renovations. You’ll be central supportingthe processing of day to day property repairs working closely with Building Supervisors.

Who we're looking for
- Strong data management and analytical skills including to gather and interpret management information to support Estate Managers and Building Surveyors
- An understanding of residential lettings and property management including refurbishment alongside knowledge of the rural and building surveying environment
- An understanding of the legislation relating to land and property including drafting licences and other legal agreements to support Estate Managers
- The ability to work as part of a team to achieve the best results, demonstrating best practice and sharing ideas and thinking
- The ability to develop and maintain data, systems and processes to support the effective management of let and built estate
- Excellent IT, verbal and written communication skills
- Good consulting skills of listening, building trust and acting to deliver a high quality service
- Strong customer service skills whilst liaising with our tenants, partners and stakeholders.
