**ACCOUNTABLE TO**: Health Records Manager

The purpose of the role is to provide an effective Healthcare Records service for Mid Essex Hospital in accordance with agreed policies and procedures with direct/indirect supervision of the Health Records Team Leader.

The Health Records Centre cover a variety of functions and the aim of the department is to ensure that Health Record folders are promptly available for on-going patient care.

To work as an active member of the Health Records team in providing efficient support to the health records service for the trust.

Ensure Healthcare Records are available and prepared for outpatient clinics and all inpatients and other ad-hoc requests are made available to the requester within agreed timescales and deadlines, both clinical and non-clinical.
