**About this opportunity**
- We are seeking a talented and solution-focused Communications Business Partner to play a key role in ensuring the Council is effectively represented to all key audiences.
In this high-profile role, you will support the Devolution programme in providing strategic communication and reputation management advice to senior staff and Members. You will be responsible for media relations, social media activity, campaigns, and the management of communication channels.

**Please note** that final decisions on consent to Devolution will not be known until 14th October and therefore there will be no commitment to commence with the interview/selection process until after this date.

**Who we are looking for**
- We are looking for someone with the skills, creativity, and confidence to deliver high-quality communications in a complex, fast-paced environment. You will bring:

- A degree or equivalent expertise in communications or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of external communications and strategic thinking.
- Excellent writing, creative, and editorial skills.
- Up-to-date understanding of best practice in media relations, social media, and campaigning.
- Political awareness, sound judgement, and the ability to manage sensitive issues effectively.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities under pressure.
- The ability to build relationships, understand challenges, and develop practical, sustainable solutions.
