An exciting opportunity has arisen to expand our enthusiastic and driven service. We are looking for a motivated band 5 therapist to join our forward-thinking and supportive team.
We currently provide a 5 day service in the community and are moving towards a 7 day service in the acute service. This post would be across our acute team based at Lincoln County Hospital and in our community team which encompasses a variety of locations. Please see our videos below for a brief insight into our service and team:
Interview date TBC
The team provides a service to inpatients and outpatients and also works on a domiciliary basis covering a number of specialisms, these include voice, aphasia, dysfluency, dysphagia, progressive neurological conditions and AAC.
We are highly committed to professional development and evidence-based practice, and there is support available within the service from a range of clinical specialists. We have a well-established local AAC Service and The East Midlands AAC Regional hub is based in Lincoln, with opportunities for training and joint working with AAC professionals from the hub. There is regular access to clinical supervision and CPD including countywide skill-sharing groups, and all staff participate in service improvement initiatives.
Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust is in the top 25 per cent of all community trusts for overall staff engagement in the 2021 NHS National Staff Survey.
LCHS recognises the increasing demand for more flexibility in working practices in order to accommodate the personal goals and commitments that employees experience at different stages during their working lives. Flexible working opportunities such as part-time working, compressed hours, job shares, and hybrid working models can help staff to balance their personal and work commitments. Arrangements can be put in place if it can be shown that the needs of the individual can be balanced with those of the service and the impact on other team members, enabling the Trust to recruit and retain skilled staff, raise staff morale, reduce absenteeism and respond to changing service needs more effectively.
This post requires that you have the ability to travel between locations to carry out your work, and to attend training and meetings in areas not easily accessed by public transport.
Please note this position will not commence before May 2025
