Are you a qualified or nearly qualified accountant looking to take the next step in your career, then our Accounting Manager role could be perfect for you.

This role will help ensure compliance and accountability within the operational finance team, supporting an environment with robust controls. In addition, you will be responsible for the monthly, and quarterly balance sheet reporting requirements with theaim to continuously improve the quality and efficiency of them.Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will be part of a well established Finance team in a fast-growing and successful cycling media business. You’ll be working with the local finance team butliaising and working closely with the finance teams at Discovery.

You may come from an audit background or a corporate environment and want to take the next step in your career. The role will have a lot of autonomy and will work very closely with Discovery’s operational finance teams.
The Role:

- Support monthly financial reporting process
- Prepare and upload balances sheet reconciliations for review
- Support SOX compliance requirements, including liaising with internal and external auditors
- Work with the local finance team to strengthen the control environment
- Interface with the Corporate accounting team to ensure reporting requirements are met
- Implementation of corporate policies and procedures
- Be the connection point between the local Finance team and the wider corporate accounting team
- Facilitating information requirements and process efficiencies

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

- Ideally, you’ll be ACA / ACCA / CIMA Qualified
- 3 - 5 years experience in accounting
- Working knowledge of UK and US GAAP would be preferred but not essential
- Experience working with robust corporate financial procedures and reporting methods
- Experience working with senior stakeholders in an SME and larger corporate environment
