We are looking for a seasoned Executive Communications Lead to join the Office of the UK CEO team to drive forward the UK CEO brand, communications priorities and further supporting Microsoft UK’s ambitious plans for the future.
The Office of the UK CEO delivers business and strategy leadership, the management of the UK CEO office, executive communications and delivery against our people and culture priorities for the UK business.
This role manages and oversees the development, and delivery of the UK CEO communications program, with direct accountability to both the CEO Office team and the UK Communications and PR team as a key member of the communications community. The remit of the role is to drive connection and acceleration of our business goals through world-class communications across a variety of owned and third-party channels.
**Responsibilities**:
**Scale CEO Communications**:
- Development of the UK CEO communications strategy as a part of the overall UK (and Global) Communications strategy
- Definition of core topics, focus areas and themes to drive a calendarized content approach in line with our business and cultural goals.
- Leadership and execution of the UK CEO social strategy designed to engage and inspire core audiences to Microsoft including management of reactive and proactive social media management working with our comms and digital teams.
**Depth Communication**:
- Leadership of content development for core UK CEO engagements, including customer presentations, keynote speeche, executive visits, town hall events and other digital formats.
- Leveraging company narratives to drive consistency of message for both the CEO and with our customers / partners.
- Tailoring of content to specific audiences, customers and engagements to increase impact and relevance.
- cultivate UK CEO relationships with high impact communications approaches at key moments in the fiscal year e.g exclusive executive invitations, moments in time and on hot topics relevant at an individual customer level.
**Communications community partnership**:
- Driving strong collaboration with the subsidiary Communications function, partnering to unlock innovation, and maximize our collective success.
- Support broader subsidiary communications strategy.
- Contribute to the success of the Senior Leadership Team through coaching and provision of UK CEO assets to further accelerate their goals.
- Identification, pipelining and production of great customer stories working with the Marketing & Operations Team to leverage the right stories as an integrated part of the UK CEO Office communications strategy.
**Position Requirements**:
The position requires an individual who understands and has strong experience in the complex world of corporate communications (external, internal or both) and that is able influence by leveraging extensive interpersonal and collaboration skills. You will be articulate and confident to express your opinion among Microsoft business leaders.
In addition, you must have experience in both devising strategy and driving execution, building relationships and working with senior leaders at all levels. Strong knowledge and experience working with corporate headquarters, the field teams, and customers/partners is an excellent advantage.
You must be able to write impactful and clear copy, sometimes in a short timeframe and adapting to changing circumstances and priorities. These might range from 30 minute keynotes, to a fireside chat with a CEO, to a company celebration to a tweet.

- Fast assimilation of new and complex information
- 10+ years of business communications experience in the technology
- MBA or advanced technology degree with business management experience.
- Deep knowledge and experience of the corporate communications landscape.
