The Role
In this role you will assist and support in the maintenance of testing standards, procedures, scripts and schedules for all testing cycles including unit, system, integration, user acceptance, regression, upgrade, patch, stress & performance testing based at SSA (Shared Services Arvato) in Swansea for both BaU (Business as Usual) and Major Project activities.
You will also assist the Test Team Manager in providing test advisory services plus manage and co-ordinate the day-to-day delivery of testing activities.
Day to day you will:
- Maintain testing Standards, Procedures, Scripts and Schedules for all testing cycles including Unit, System, Integration, User Acceptance, Regression, Upgrade, Patch, Stress and Performance testing.
- Assist the Test Team Manager, and SSA customers and stakeholders, in the areas of test scoping, planning, and design of test materials.
- Manage and co-ordinate the day-to-day delivery of testing for all test cycles.
- Manage the triage of incoming test issues, liaising with ICT and Operations staff where necessary.
- Manage the prioritisation of testing Defects and Issues, maintain clear management information on Defect and Issue status, and manage the delivery of status updates and other relevant communication to internal and external customers.
- Evaluate and respond to customer change in relation to test activities.
Skills & Experience Required
Essential:
- Knowledge of Shared Services business processes associated with HR, Finance, Payroll and/or Procurement.
- Ability to prioritise testing efforts based on knowledge of business risk, and design appropriate test plans and test scripts.
- Experience of tracking progress of tasks and activities, and preparing reports and statistics to present that progress.
- Experience communicating directly with customers in writing, by telephone, and face to face.
Desirable**:
- Experience in previous complex implementations or migrations across Shared Services business processes.
- A successful track record working as a testing analyst and planner.
- A detailed knowledge of system build and administrative requirements
Salary & Benefits
Salary £28,015
