**Responsibilities**:

- Carrying out regular, preventative inspection and maintenance of hangar support equipment/GSE
- Identifying close due dates and liaising with Tool Stores for equipment that requires external inspection, test or calibration
- Liaising with Compliance, Training and Health & Safety teams to ensure compliance of equipment including monitoring, recording and reporting
- Completing regular reviews of consumables and ‘in use’ POL/COSHH items in the hangar cabinets to ensure they have not expired and are identifiable
- Assisting with escorting external contractors on our site
- Providing reciprocal support to the Facilities Assistant where required, with duties such as light housekeeping/maintenance tasks in the hangar, waste disposal, moving equipment & furniture, refuelling the tug and any other necessary tasks
- Infrequent, occasional UK and overseas travel may be required

**Skills, Qualifications and Experience required**:
**Essential**
- Experience working in a manufacturing workshop or engineering environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to help develop and evolve processes and procedures related to the role
- Reliable and punctual individual
- Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively, as well as being a strong team player
- Have an eye for detail and able to work to processes and procedures
- A full UK driving licence is required, ideally with commercial vehicle categories
- A current valid passport is required

**Advantageous**
- Forklift and cherry picker/IPAF (MEWP - mobile elevated working platform) licences beneficial
- Experience within the aviation/aerospace industry will be highly advantageous
- Experience with any equipment or tooling inspection/maintenance
