We are currently seeking a Credit Controller to join our team based at our Head Office, in Rotherwas, Hereford.
**A little about the job**:
It is also the responsibility of the Credit Controller to manage debt recovery of their section of the ledger, which if a client has paid late or missed payments could involve stopping the supply of goods and services or undertaking legal action.
It is vital that this role builds and maintains close links with all customers, to ensure smooth running of accounts and encourage timely recovery of payments.
**What will you do?**
- Effectively deal with customer account queries / complaints, including liaising with other departments, to ensure they are brought to a satisfactory conclusion.
- To ensure all customer queries are logged and recorded on to the relevant computerised system.
- To ensure the sales ledger is maintained to a high level of accuracy, through direct contact with customers both on the telephone and in writing.
- Processing rebates for preferred account customers on a monthly or quarterly basis.
- Answering customer accounts calls and resolving customer queries in a professional and proficient manner; updating systems as required.
- Producing statement runs and invoices as necessary.
- Ensuring customer accounts are placed on stop where necessary in line with agreed protocol.
- You will strive to achieve company key performance indicators.
**What do I need?**
- At least 12 months experience working in a similar role, preferably in an office-based environment.
- A minimum of 5 GCSE grades (A*- C), to include English and Maths ( or equivalent).
- You will possess an excellent telephone manner, friendly disposition, and a strong desire to deliver excellent customer service.
- You will possess excellent IT skills, including use of Microsoft packages.
- You will have meticulous attention to detail and be able to work on your own initiative.
- You will have a positive attitude (glass must be half full).

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 16-25 per week
**Salary**: £21,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
