**About The Role**:
**Reporting to**:Merchandising Manager
**Salary**: Dependent on experience

The main role of the Buying & Merchandising Assistantis to provide administrative support to the purchasing, inventory, and trading process of Buying and Merchandising.

They will collate, distribute, and analyse sales and performance reports, identifying trends and trading patterns, highlight anomalies, and communicate findings appropriately.
The Buying & Merchandising Assistant assists in product creation, pricing maintenance, raising supplier orders, tracking deliveries and stock allocation across the business.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Generating and distributing weekly reports; companywide brand sell throughs, KPI reports, Branch sales.
- Supporting the Merchandising Manager with reports and administrative tasks.
- Generating and advising reports as needed (companywide).
- Product creation for all brands in our stock control system.
- Actioning pricing and markdown updates
- Raising and updating purchase orders.
- Forecasting the sales and intake for an area of business
- Planning the optimal range/assortment for key customers in conjunction with sales team.
- Working with sales team to ensure effective critical path management for key accounts, ensuring forecasts are submitted in time
- Effectively managing overstocks out of the business, minimising any margin impact
- Analysing trials and initiatives to provide clear insights and proactively suggest next steps
- Supporting stock allocation across multiple channels and stock holding locations.
- Undertaking various other tasks for the role, and where required, to support others within the merchandising team.
- Undertaking other business projects as and when required, liaising with departments including buying, finance & marketing

**What We Are Looking For**
- Experience in merchandising and stock allocation (preferred)
- Strong organisation skills, attention to detail & accuracy are essential
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong analytics (both reviewing data and making recommendations) as well as decision making skills
- Excellent communication skills
- The ability to learn, adapt and work under pressure
- Have experience in womenswear Fashion
- Take a proactive and dynamic approach to your day
- Have an endless curiosity and hunger to learn

- Be both self-motivated and have the ability to work in a team
