Administrative Support Assistant

**Job Purpose**
To provide a range of administrative, planning and organisational support to a neurodiverse member of staff in Archaeology.
**Main Duties and Responsibilities**
1. To support the member of staff with organising and prioritising their workload to enable them to meet various deadlines. This will involve implementing agreed organisational systems.
3. Diary management to support planning and organization, including arranging meetings on behalf of the staff member.
4. Supporting the administration relating to marking and assessment.
5. General administration tasks involving the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
6. To support the staff member by uploading teaching materials and information to University systems such as Moodle and MyCampus.
7. To work collaboratively with the wider administrative team as appropriate.
8. Undertake relevant training as appropriate to the role.

**Essential**
A1. Ability to demonstrate the competencies required to undertake the duties associated with this level of post having acquired the necessary knowledge and skills in a similar role or Scottish Credit and Qualification Framework level 5 or 6 (National 5 or 6, Scottish Vocational Qualification level 2 or 3) or equivalent, and experience of personal development in a similar role.
A2. Highly proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
**Desirable**
B1. Working knowledge of the Moodle virtual learning environment.
B2. Awareness of General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).
**Skills**

C1. Excellent planning and organisational skills.
C2. Strong attention to detail.
C3. Integrity and the ability to deal with confidential material in line with University policies and General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).
C4. Strong interpersonal skills.

C6. Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a wider administrative team.

E1. Experience of planning and organising own and/or others workload.
E2. Experience of diary management.

F1. Experience of working within the Higher or Further Education sector
F2. Experience of University of Glasgow systems such as Moodle and MyCampus
**Terms and Conditions**
Salary will be Grade 4, £22,197 - £24,715 per annum pro rata.
This post is part-time (7 hours per week), and open ended with funding available until 10 June 2026 in the first instance.
