Summary We are looking for a confident and capable Facilities & Support Services Co-ordinator to support the work of the Facilities Team. This role focuses on both desk-based tasks, including booking in contractors, using our building management system and compliancemonitoring, to operational facilities support and reactive maintenance.

Click here for more information about this location What you'll be doing This role will involve practical and operational work around our estate, supervising contractors, solving minor facilities issues, and helping to make sure that visitors receive a great experience at Ickworth. You’ll also support and take an active rolein budget tracking and spending, oversee our programme for cyclical maintenance, order materials and deal with a broad range of administrative matters.

An example of some of the tasks and responsibilities you’ll have in this role include:

- Working with the FM you will book in, supervise, and monitor contractors.
- Problem solving of reactive issues is a major part of this role. With such a large site, open 363 days of the year, through your own initiative and in collaboration with the Facilities Manager, team and contractors, you’ll resolve these to ensure ongoingoperational delivery.
- We have 7 volunteers split between 2 roles: compliance and maintenance. We are looking to expand these teams and the work they help support. Volunteer management is a key responsibility of this role.
- Conducting and recording compliance checks across the property.
- You’ll be accountable for supporting the FM and property in achieving actions resulting from our Environmental Management system audit.
Who we're looking for You'll need to have the following skills and experience:

- Experience in a facilities role in a customer service environment
- Good experience of broad compliance and risk management, including knowledge of Health & Safety, CDM regulations, Emergency procedures and Fire & Security procedures.
- Good interpersonal communication and flexible, customer focussed approach with understanding of good customer service standards
- Experience of managing budgets, finances, projects, and contracts/contractors
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to use tools, equipment as required for the role
- Willingness to work alongside volunteers and is able to support volunteers to perform at their best
- Good IT skills (Microsoft Office)
