Financial Controller
Location - Kendal
Salary - £52,000 DOE
Simpson Judge are working with a rapidly engineering services firm, with offices based in Kendal. Reporting to a Finance Director, this is a great opportunity for an ambitious finance professional.
**Responsibilities**:
- To actively promote the policies and strategies agreed upon by the senior team and behave with professional integrity in how these are conveyed to internal and external contacts.
- To develop with P&L owners cost-effective plans that key into, and support agreed TEAM business objectives to ensure stability, growth, and flexibility in an ever-changing environment.
- Analyse and review corporate accounting & finance operating performance, as compared to approved operating budgets and forecasts.
- To ensure compliance with local and US statutory requirements and provide monthly management accounts for the parent company.
- Management of the UK and Middle East payroll team.
- Support preparing presentations, including Executive Leadership Team material.
- Responsible for timely and accurate internal and external company tax compliance and reporting.
- To have overall responsibility on all matters connected to SOX compliance relating to financial reporting and financial record keeping including processes and procedures in line with TEAM Corporate's requirements.
- Participating in the internal forecasting and budgeting requirements.
- Actively promote the Core Values within all work-based activities.
Skills/ Experience:
- Chartered Accountant or equivalent preferred
- Substantial knowledge across a range of accounting functions
- Previous Manufacturing Company experience is desired but not essential
- Competent user of ERP systems
- Good communication, interpersonal and man-management skills
- Previous remote management skills are desired but not essential
- Knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley Act
- An appreciation of US GAAP reporting
