Reinsurance Broker

We are looking for a Reinsurance Broker (Treaty) who can ideally speak Spanish and be involved in supporting the Latin American and Caribbean team both in London and in GC’s offices in the region.
This is an exceptional and interesting position that requires someone to support client relationships and our senior brokers. You will be joining an expanding team and will help take on the responsibility of identifying and capitalising on emerging growth opportunities across the region.
**What can you expect?**
- You will be involved in analysing risks and assisting with developing solutions for clients' needs. Responding to client requests, queries, and concerns, resolving issues promptly to maintain client satisfaction.
- Being at the forefront of product and service developments and keeping clients aware of market changes.
- Communicating with the GC network, providing and seeking knowledge and expertise.
**We will rely on you to**:
- Update senior brokers and management on issues, progress, and queries regularly and upon request to ensure high-quality client service.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and reinsurance companies to efficiently communicate client demands and requests internally.
- Work according to Guy Carpenter’s and MMC's world-class protocols.
- Work alongside broker support, brokers, account executives, and analytics colleagues during the client management process.
- Interpret and ensure accurate understanding of client submissions and prepare submission packs to support the placement of reinsurance contracts.
- Preparation of client and reinsurer presentations and client roadshows as required.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships across the region, both internally and externally.
- Assisting in obtaining and finalising quotes and terms with reinsurers.
- Proactively seek to understand client issues and queries and address these appropriately.
- Liaising with both Technical Accounts and Claims departments.
- Develop and maintain spreadsheets and databases as required.
- Where necessary, educate other Guy Carpenter teams about Latin American & the Caribbean business, developments, and opportunities across the region.
**What you need to have**?
- Previous experience in insurance or sales (internships or entry-level positions) is advantageous.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Proactive, can-do attitude.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- The ability to understand and interpret data.
- Ability to deliver results under pressure.
- Resilience to thrive in a competitive environment.
**What makes you stand out?**
- Fluent Spanish.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Insurance, or comparable experience.
- CII qualification
- Reinsurance experience.
- Experience of working across Latin America or Caribbean.
- Ability to work collaboratively with others to deliver results.
