T Construction are looking to employ a qualified experienced **Bricklayer /** **General Builder** with immediate start available.
- Ideal applicant must have at least 10 years experience within the construction and building industry.
- As well as bricklaying qualifications and experience, a general basic skillset is required in the following: groundworks, drainage, slab and block laying, patios/driveways, block and beam flooring, pointing, patch repairs, landscaping and general building maintenance and repairs.
- Additional proven skills and experience with basic carpentry, stud work, tacking, patch plastering, flooring etc would be an advantage for the applicant.
- Experience working within the Facilities Maintenance sector would also be beneficial to the applicant.
- Must have experience working with construction Health and Safety regulations and practices, whilst being familiar and conversant with construction works package plans, risk assessments, method statements and toolbox talks.

The role is to undertake various tasks on new build projects, home extensions, full and part refurbishment works, renovations, maintenance works, reactive works and also minor repairs.

Our work sectors include working within Domestic, Industrial, Railway, Schools and Commercial premises. Works locations and clients vary. Bedfordshire and surrounding areas.

The applicant will be expected to be reliable, competent, diligent and polite. Must be comfortable and confident to work as part of our experienced workforce, working under our management team and also being capable to work alone under their own initiative. They will be required to deliver quality workmanship at all times and at all levels within the Domestic / Industrial Construction and Facilities Maintenance sector.

Must be a good communicator, respectful of others and will be expected to uphold our company reputation and ethos for quality workmanship, professionalism, pride in our work and have great attention to detail. Must be able to interact professionally and courteously on all levels with our clients and fellow work colleagues. Must have good housekeeping skills across the board.

Be expected and capable to plan and manage their own works diary when working alone, work to programmes, deadlines and schedules with good timekeeping.
- **Applicant will be expected to adhere to our company zero tolerance Drugs and Alcohol Policy. We do carry out random on the spot Drugs and Alcohol tests for all staff and employees. There are no exceptions.**:

- Must hold a full clean driving licence.
- The successful applicant will be DBS checked prior to employment.

The position includes the daily support of our own Health and Safety team, employee support from one of the countries leading Health & Safety and Legal advisory companies with full HR support and a company pension scheme.

Full work clothing for all seasons is provided and required to be worn at all times. Clothing provided includes full PPE.

Employment will include the option of overtime when available, weekend working and some Call-Out working. Not guaranteed.

Position is available from immediate effect.

Salary to reflect the applicants proven qualifications, training and certificates, accreditations attained, skill set and experience.

- Permanent.

Salary is negotiable based on chosen employment status and on proven experience and qualifications
