Sen Teaching Assistant

Engage Education are currently working in partnership with a primary school on an exciting new SEN TA position specifically to support learners with ASD in the Leeds area.
Starting in January, the school is looking for an outstanding SEN Teaching Assistant to join them on a long term temporary basis. If the role goes well there is the potential for this to turn into a permanent assignment.
Your Role:
- Supporting learners on a one-to-one basis often with complex learning needs
- Working with other support staff to engage pupils in class
- Providing feedback to teachers and parents
- You will be assisting pupils with Complex Communication and Autism, SEMH, ADHD, Severe Learning Difficulties and other Learning Disabilities

- A range of behaviour management techniques
- To have worked with learners with a range of needs
- The ability to engage a young person in learning through a range of methods
- To be able to commit to working at the school for long period of time
- A resilient attitude

Pay: £12.00-£13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 per week
