City Services are responsible for the Council’s front-line services, including highways, engineering, car parks/enforcement, drainage, grounds, waste and recycling areas.

**About the Job**

We are currently seeking an individual to fill the Assistant Engineer’s role in the Traffic and Road Safety Section within City Services

Experience in Road Safety would be an asset, the post holder will assist the Senior Traffic and Transportation Development Officer in gathering data and liaising with members of the public and legal consultees for rolling out Traffic Regulation Orders. Experience in AutoCAD is essential to assist with Welsh Government grants, 20mph zones schemes and updating map tiles for Traffic Regulation Orders.

We are seeking an individual with drive and ambition to realise new innovations and opportunities for the future and ensure compliance with legislation is maintained in the efficient delivery of services to our residents

The post holder will need to be well organised, confident and be a good communicator being able to liaise with local communities and deal with members of the public with all matters raised
