**About the role**:
Applications are invited for a Research Associate to join the Theoretical Physics Section within the Physics of Universe Community in Department of Physics at Imperial College London, which undertakes world-leading research in key areas of theoretical physics including string theory, quantum field theory, cosmology, quantum foundations and gravity.

**What you would be doing**:
**Duties and responsibilities**

You will contribute to independent and original research, submit publications to refereed journals and assist with the administration of the Research Group and provide support to the research students. This project will involve a high degree of teamwork and interdisciplinary research.

**Essential requirements**

The position is to work primarily with members of staff focusing on Cosmology and Quantum Field Theory and related topics.

You must hold or be about to complete a PhD (or equivalent) in Theoretical Physics or a closely related discipline or an equivalent level of professional qualifications and experience.

You must also be able to demonstrate all the following essential criteria:

- Outstanding research experience in cosmology, quantum field theory, effective field theory, general relativity and other gravitational theories, cosmic microwave background, gravitational waves and/or related topics.
- Evidence of outstanding promise and originality in research, demonstrated by a good publication record, commensurate with your career stage
