Applications are invited for a Research Associate position in the Theoretical Physics Group of the Department of Physics at Imperial College London. The position is funded partially by an STFC/EPSRC grant from the call Quantum Technology for Fundamental Physics that is held jointly with University of Edinburgh and partially by an STFC Consolidated Grant. You will work with members of the Theoretical Physics Group, with members of the Laboratory for Foundations of Computer Science at University of Edinburgh, and will also interact with other members of the Imperial College Physics Department.
**Duties and responsibilities**:
You will contribute to independent and original research, submit publications to refereed journals and assist with the administration of the Research Group and provide support to the research students. This project will involve a high degree of teamwork and interdisciplinary research.
**Essential requirements**:
You will already have a PhD in Theoretical Physics or an equivalent level of professional qualifications and experience.
In addition, you must also be able to demonstrate all the following essential criteria:
- Research experience in theoretical topics in the following areas: the causal set approach to the problem of quantum gravity, dynamics of causal sets, classical and quantum cosmological models in causal set theory, black holes in causal set theory.
- Evidence of outstanding promise and originality in research, demonstrated by a good publication record, commensurate with your career stage
