This role defines the customer plan for the JL brand. It defines the marketing objectives required in support of broader business objectives and the activity required to support these, allocating channel resource and marketing opex budget in service of these objectives, and ensuring our activity shows up in a cohesive way across channels.

You will own the relationship with our media agency and ensures their activity is delivering on these objectives, as well as monitoring the performance of our activity (e.g. campaign performance, broader media investment performance).

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Definition and ownership of the customer plan for the JL brand, to include:

- Definition of marketing objectives by activity type that contribute to overall JL business objectives and allocation of budget and channel resource in service of this.
- Ownership of planning process (annual, seasonal, front door) and coordinates inputs from JL Customer teams (including channel capacity ring-fenced for retail media activity).
- Definition and ownership of prioritisation framework and sizing of activity to inform deliverability of plan.
- Ownership of channel capacity planning and resource allocation by campaign / activity type
- Definition of a cohesive customer plan across channels.
- Allocation of marketing budget across channels to deliver on marketing objectives and broader business objectives.
- Monitors performance of marketing investment and reallocates investment accordingly.
- Ownership of relationship with media agency (including creation of annual media strategy) and holds them to account.
- Empowerment and development of team of marketing professionals, creating the conditions for all Partners to thrive.

**Essential skills**:

- Extensive experience of developing customer and marketing plans linked to commercial, brand and customer outcomes.
- Working knowledge of planning processes and project management skills.
- Substantial marketing & media planning experience working on large Omni-channel brand.
- Budget management experience.
- Leading cross-functional projects.
- Experience making effective data informed decisions, supported by the use of data visualisation tools such as Tableau.

**Desirable**:

- Planning (channel and media) experience in large marketing organisation.
- Executing change and innovation.
- Omni channel or product retail experience.
- Professional Marketing qualification.
