The Welding Development Supervisor role is based within Marine Engineering & Systems.

At our site in Rosyth, we aim to deliver engineering-led and world-leading products and services across our engineering, specialised manufacturing, gas handling systems and naval marine businesses

The difference our new Welding Development Supervisor will make

As a Welding Development Supervisor, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. having a key Role in the training of all weld/fab apprentices

Day to day, you'll establish and make sure that safe working practises and the working environment is in accordance with company policy, effectively manage personnel ensuring that start/stop times, attendance standards and behaviour standards are alwaysmaintained, set training/testing targets to employees daily ensuring achievement. Take ownership of activity levels within the area, liaise and work with planning, materials, warehousing, quality, and other support functions to support a coordinated team approach,lia7ise and work with customers to ensure customer satisfaction, Promote and encourage ownership and accountability for all staff and workforce within their areas of responsibility, update progress accurately monthly, maintain where appropriate the NDE requestsystem and identify and arrange training/testing to meet objectives.

You'll also ensure that all equipment within designated areas is fit for purpose, identify, and provide appropriate tools and equipment, instruction, and technical data to operatives, prompt others to perform your needs. Be proactive in providing solutions,continually seek training improvements and cost reductions, assist in providing resource levels, ensure security of buildings and ensure updating of notice boards within this area.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Minimum SVQ level 3 in welding and fabrication or equivalent
- Ideally HNC/HND Fabrication and Welding or equivalent
- Ideally CSWIP certified or equivalent
- Be IT literate (Word, Excel, etc)
- Obtain or be able to obtain BPSS Clearance
