**Zero Hour contract due to additional funding with a provisional end date for funding 31st May 2026.**

**£14.34 - 16.40 an hour sessional rate**

The Children’s Society has been helping children and young people in this country for over 140 years. We run local services that support children when they are at their most vulnerable and in desperate need of help. We’re there for children, every step of the way.

This role sits within our Youth Impact directorate, which works to provide one-to-one support for children who need support.

The Children's Society deliver services in various areas in England. We offer a truly different way of delivering access to mental and emotional health support. We don't want young people to feel like they have to reach crisis point to get the help they need. We don't want young people to feel like they don't deserve a place to go because their worry is 'too small.' We don't want young people to have to wait to receive the care they deserve.

**Halton Resolve** is an emotional health and wellbeing service designed to support **children, young people, and families** in Halton who have been affected by **domestic abuse**. The service aims to reduce the impact of abuse on individuals and the wider community by offering tailored interventions and support.

In order to be considered for this post you will have to demonstrate that you already have:
**Skills**
- Ability to evaluate your current practice and reflect on training.
- Computer literate and is able to navigate a data management system.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to develop good therapeutic relationships.
- Competent in undertaking risk assessments.
- Able to supervise other staff members, and encourage colleagues

**Work-based Knowledge**
- In depth knowledge of mental health presentation in children and young people and the need for evidence based intervention.
- Demonstrates a knowledge of how environmental factors impact mental health.
- Ability to demonstrate a knowledge of barriers preventing children and young people accessing mental health services
