**The Role**

**Hartley Brook Primary Academy **has an exciting opportunity for a Pastoral Worker to join their team on a permanent basis

**As our Pastoral Worker, you will be**:

- Support for Pupils with Social and Emotional Difficulties or those going through difficulties affecting their access to learning or school.
- To offer support or strategies to families to help them to overcome barriers affecting their children in school
- To work with the Assistant Head: Inclusion to ensure that strategies suggested for specific pupils are used consistently and to share these strategies with other staff in school.
- To cover adults working 1-1 with our most complex children if needed (e.g. due to sickness)
- Use specialist (curricular/learning) skills/training/experience to support pupils with SEMH difficulties

**We are looking for individuals who have**:

- Experience in Cognition and learning, Communication and Interaction, Social, mental and emotional health and Sensory and/or physical needs
- Successful experience of dealing with public face to face and on the telephone
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Confident and comfortable in a classroom environment
- Good organisational skills
