We are on the lookout for a Wedding and Events Co-Ordinator to join our bunch.

Located in Newbury, Berkshire, just off junction 13 on the M4 and 55 minutes away from London by train.

Work in our stunning purpose-built Weddings and Events barn - The Post, part of the Vineyard Group located in the grounds at Donnington Valley Hotel, Spa and Golf Club.

**The Wedding and Events Co-Ordinator Role**

This is an exciting role in our award winning purpose-built Wedding and Events barn - Part of the Vineyard Group, the Post Barn opened in July 2021 and has gone from strength to strength in just two year. Reporting to the Wedding and Events Manager, you will be one of the main contacts for all new wedding and event enquiries. You will be responsible for converting enquires into bookings, creating memorable experiences for all of your clients and ensuring the highest standards of operation at all events through exceptional customer service, supplier liaison and collaborative working.

**Key Responsibilities and Duties**
- Managing incoming calls and carrying out show rounds for prospective bookings
- Following up on all enquiries and show rounds and ultimately converting enquiries into bookings
- Proactively researching and analysing competitor information, local press leads and exploring all new opportunities to create sales activity in order to grow the wedding and events business
- Hosting FAM trips, attending wedding fairs or any other events to promote the Barn, the Hotel and the Group
- Ensuring that upon booking relevant contracts are completed and a full understanding of guest requirements is gained
- Maintaining contact with guests from the point of booking the event right through the event or wedding (including on the day if required), finalising details and ensuring payments are up to date
- Carrying out post event calls in order to check guest satisfaction
- Building good relationships with external wedding suppliers ensuring the supply of their goods and services meet the requirements of the clients, and charges are passed on accordingly
- Liaising with the Operational team to ensure all event details are handed over so that service is delivered to meet and exceed requirements
- Carrying out all administration including producing function sheets, menus and table plans
- Experience not essential but preferred.
