University of York, United Kingdom University of York Full time

Hull York Medical School represents a strategic collaboration between the Universities of Hull and York, alongside the NHS. We are an ambitious organisation, and the School is committed to supporting doctors to develop their academic skills as part of their career pathway towards becoming senior academic clinicians, and leading research that makes a real and lasting difference to people’s lives.

The Programme Coordinator for the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Integrated Academic Training (IAT) Programme is a pivotal position within the school's operational framework, supporting the development, delivery, and review of the NIHR IAT programme. The Programme Coordinator will work within the Hull York Medical School’s Executive Office, in partnership with NHS England North East and Yorkshire and a network of regional partners to ensure the programme's efficient and effective operation.

Strong organisational skills and a high attention to detail will be essential for managing the diverse aspects of the programme, including recruitment, budget monitoring, purchasing, and event planning. You will have excellent communication skills as the main point of contact for the programme and offer advice and support to trainees, supervisors, and trust contacts. The postholder will have the ability to administer strategic planning processes, such as the NIHR Biennial Bid, and coordinate clinical academic training events, ensuring the programme meets its objectives and adheres to budgetary constraints.

We are seeking to appoint individuals who align to our values:

- Everyone Counts: We promote a culture of diversity, respect and aspiration, and empower everyone to realise their potential.
- Pursuing Excellence: We combine a pioneering approach with innovative methods to drive excellence in all we do.
- Socially Responsible: We are dedicated to public service and to improving lives within our communities.
- Collaborative: We work in partnership, recognising the strengths of others.

Interview dates to be announced

The University strives to be diverse and inclusive - a place where we can ALL be ourselves.

We offer family friendly, flexible working arrangements, with forums and inclusive facilities to support our staff. #EqualityatYork
