**Sales Ledger Assistant - 30-32 hours per week**

**Reporting to Assistant to Financial Controller**

Role
- Responsible for raising all sales ledger invoices within the area of the business specified for all Core Contract works, Variation Orders and any other ad-hoc invoices where necessary.
- To liaise with other departments to resolve customer queries and raise credits where necessary with approval of the FC or AFC.
- To Update invoices to customer portals in accordance with the specific instructions.
- To update the accounting system when the invoices have been raised and checked for accuracy.
- To post sales receipts to accounts and allocate accurately daily.
- To carry out Credit control tasks for your business area including sending statements to all customers monthly as well as communicating with customers to chase debt and resolve any queries and issues.
- To Provide a monthly credit control report with notes of queries and cashflow predictions of future cash receipts.
- Other tasks will include filing, archiving, maintaining invoice templates, telephone answering and to undertake any duties reasonably expected including holiday cover.

**Skills required**
- **Previous experience of working in a high-volume invoicing department**
- **Working with Zero would be an advantage**
- **Working to tight deadlines**
- **Good communications skills at all levels within a business environment will be an advantage**
- **Good excel and IT skills**
- **Working in a service industry**

Part-time hours: 32 per week

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From £10.00 per hour
