Field Trials Officer

Agricultural Trials - **Field Trials Officer **- i2L Research Ltd.

I2L Research Ltd, part of the Cawood Scientific Group, are a successful and leading provider of scientific services and technical support to the crop protection industry and are looking to recruit a part-time Field Trials Officer on a permanent basis at our Newcastle office.

Responsibilities to include:

- Establish and maintain agricultural trials in field, glasshouse and polytunnel conditions including planting, sowing and managing crops.
- Assess the effects of agrochemicals, and other agricultural inputs, to trial plots (insect counts, disease cover, plant quality)
- Data input (Excel)
- Undertaking any other daily activities in accordance with company standards and needs
- Knowledge of crop diseases is advantageous, but not essential
- Must be able to communicate effectively with colleagues and customers.
- Computer skills are important (ideally Excel, ARM, MS Word)
- Must have excellent organization skills and the ability to work remotely and independently when required to specific deadlines.
- Must be motivated, energetic and enthusiastic, able to work on own initiative, and as part of a team when required.
- Must have a full driving licence.
- PA1 and PA6 pesticide training is advantageous, but not essential.

Part-time hours: 24 per week

**Salary**: £20,800.00 per year
