Transition Partners are excited to be working alongside a global financial organisation to recruit an IT Operations Analyst.

As an IT Operations Analyst, you will work as part of a talented team to ensure that the systems are operating at maximum efficiency, responding to system alerts to fix or escalate where necessary.

You will work with your team to identify any critical incidents and work with the wider team to resolve these within the agreed timelines. A big part of your role will be looking at identifying where we can improve processes and highlighting where potentialautomation improvements can be made.

Responsibilities include:

- Logging, categorising, and prioritising global incidents
- Performing routine tasks through Linux and VMS command line systems
- Carry out routine system operations on critical core services, including monitoring batch processes and responding to alerts, escalating as necessary.
- Build and maintain good working relationships with all teams across the organisation.
- Ensure that all procedures and documentation are kept current, and that any amendments are communicated to the team.
- Ensure that all work carried out by the Global Service Centre adheres to internal and external audit requirements, business regulations, and service level agreements.

Skills required:

- Experience working in a technical environment
- A background in IT Operations is highly advantageous, however we are more than happy to speak to any applicants who have worked in a hands-on technical position with a passion for all thing’s tech
- An understanding of ITIL frameworks is highly advantageous
- The ability to understand the importance of processes and documentation
- An inquisitive mind: we’re always looking for ways to improve and who better to learn from than the people doing the role
