Birmingham, United Kingdom Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Foundation Trust Full time

Major transformation programme seeks enthusiastic, committed individuals to join its dedicated EPR team

We are recruiting a new team to work on our exciting new Electronic Patient Record (EPR) programme.

Birmingham Women’s and Children’s NHS Foundation Trust is bringing in a new Electronic Patient Record. This is major transformation programme that will affect almost all Trust employees, supporting them to provide better quality care for our patients and families.

We are currently recruiting for a Project Support Officer (B5) for Birmingham Women's and Children's Hospital.

We’re looking for the right people to join us on this exciting digital journey and be part of our vision to be a world-leading team, providing world-leading care.

The EPR will be a big change for all our patient-facing teams, so we are looking for people with the energy, passion and resilience to manage the complexities and high risks involved to help us deliver this critical programme of work.

This role is also available as a secondment to existing NHS Staff. Please contact the recruitment manager for more information.

The Project Support Officer will play a key role in supporting the EPR Programme Director to implement an electronic patient record across the organisation.

The post holder will support a diverse range of activities across the EPR programme, working with IT, clinical and operational teams to co-ordinate and support multiple projects across the EPR implementation programme. The post holder is required to work using their own initiative on a regular basis and manage their own workload; this will require excellent planning and organisational skills.

The post-holder is expected to develop a full understanding and an overview of the programme activities, including programme co-ordination and EPR implementation activities. This can often be complex and challenging due to the fast paced and specific EPR implementation methodology. This level of knowledge and understanding will enable the post-holder to fully support the more senior members of the teams in prioritising and managing workload in an informed, timely and effective manner.

The post holder will work under the direction of the Programme Manager and Programme Director, undertaking specific administrative duties, arranging meetings, proactively managing and prioritising workloads and handling programme management documentation and activities.

This will require the post holder to combine their IT, administrative and communications skills with knowledge of the EPR Implementation programme.
