**Product Development Engineer - Medical Diagnostics**
This role is a newly created position working closely with a team of experienced engineers and managers who are passionate about the medical diagnostics industry. Working on more than one project, you will have an excellent understanding of the whole processfrom feasibility to concept development and support global customers.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Skills and Knowledge**:Be part of the R&D team, developing a range of medical device products for the market.
- Collaborate with a cross functional team to contribute to product development of new products and support manufacturing of released products.
- Prepare engineering drawings and models
- Read and interpret complex engineering drawings and have a good understanding of geometrical dimensioning and tolerancing.
- Provide technical support and advise to internal and external stakeholders.

- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering - Mechanical, Biomedical, Mechatronics, Industrial design, Automation Engineering, Electrical or a related field
- Demonstrated expertise in industrial design principles and processes.
- Strong understanding of ISO9001 and/or ISO13485
- Proven ability to lead on programs, provide solutions with a multi-disciplinary manufacturing R&D team.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate engineering approach from requirements through to global customers
- Strong conceptual skills and the ability to develop products from specifications
