**Job Description**:
We have a fantastic opportunity for a commercially focused Finance Business Partner to join our leading global academic publishing company in the Business Partnering team on a **maternity cover basis**. The role will report into the Researcher Services Finance Business Controller and work closely with the Commercial teams.
This will be a largely remote based role but you will need to be able to travel to our office in Milton Park, Oxfordshire approx. 1-2 days per month.

**What you will be doing**:
- Support the Business Controller in providing forward looking business finance support to the Executive Leadership Team, The Researcher Services Managing Director, and his Senior Leadership Team,
- Business Partner to one or more members of the Senior Leadership Team,
- Preparation of forecast, budgets, and business plans,
- Review of monthly performance and analysis of variances to budget, forecast and prior year, providing succinct and insightful commentary and feedback for the monthly review packs and Board reports,
- Deep dive analysis of results to identify and quantify financial risks and opportunities and avenues to explore for corrective action,
- Developing new reporting as required to support the Commercial decision-making processes,
- Working with the Commercial teams on new initiatives and product proposals to assess and demonstrate the impact of future behaviours,
- Working with colleagues across other Finance functions to ensure that the managerial reporting needs of the Business are met.
**Qualifications**:
**What can you bring?**
- Experienced Finance Professional with high level analytical skills and a forward thinking, creative mindset.
- Qualified (CIMA/ACCA) or QBE level
- Experience in a Business Partner role previously would be desirable
- A proven self-starter who works collaboratively but identifies and picks up tasks which need completing for the team to be successful.
- Excellent influencing, communication, and presentation skills
- Advanced Excel and Finance system skills (SAP, TM1 & Power BI experience desirable)
- Experience with working within ambiguity and change
- Previous experience working within a global organisation would be advantageous
