The post is based in our modern Riverside House offices in the heart of Rotherham, well located for public transport from the Sheffield City Region. We know you must juggle work and life commitments and we will discuss the right mix for you, we are committed to flexible working patterns in our established team. We have reviewed and reorganised the Finance service to ensure that it has the capacity and leadership required to deliver the excellent service that is needed and expected to achieve the Council’s future ambitions. This is a great opportunity to work at the heart of the organisation, making a real difference and playing a crucial role shaping the future of the Council.

You will have responsibility for supporting the delivery of high-level financial advice, guidance and support to the Regeneration and Environment Directorate.

The role will support the Head of Finance and Finance Manager in the delivery of work programmes jointly set by the Strategic Director of Regeneration and Environment and Strategic Director - Finance & Customer Services in the delivery of financial strategies to support transformation taking place across the Directorate.

**About you**

We are looking for enthusiastic, committed financial professionals, with the experience, skills, and knowledge to quickly integrate into a busy business partnering team. You will hold a CCAB qualification.

You will be positive in your approach, proactive, and be able to present complex information in a clear and easy to understand manner, to ensure understanding by a wide variety of stakeholders.

In addition to demonstrating financial flair, attention to detail and being process driven, you will appreciate the wider view and impact that decisions will have on other services provided by the council.
