We have positioned the Finance service to ensure that it has the capacity and leadership required to deliver the excellent service that is needed and expected in order to achieve the Council’s future ambitions. This is a great opportunity to work at the heart of the organisation, making a real difference and playing a crucial role shaping the future of the Council.

Financial Services, part of Finance and Customer Services directorate, are currently undergoing a tender process to procure a new financial information management system, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Procurement, Budget Setting/Monitoring and Reporting.

Reporting to the Finance Project Manager, the post holder will work with current Finance and Procurement staff and other project team members during the implementation of the new financial information management system and will manage and co-ordinate the team responsible for requirements scoping and user acceptance testing activities of the various workstreams of the new system. The post holder will work across all modules of the system and be expected to maintain relevant documentation as required.

The new system implementation project is estimated to last around 2 years, after which, the post holder will work within Finance and Customer Services on other projects, programmes and major change initiatives as required.
