**Senior Property Portfolio Underwriter - £90,000 - £100,000**

At Aviva, the Property portfolio is a critical element of the overall Commercial Lines business strategy. Following continued growth across the business, Aviva are looking for a Senior Property Portfolio Underwriter to join their Chief Underwriting Office within Commercial Lines.

This role spans across Digital, Schemes, Mid-Market and Global Corporate & Specialty. The Senior Property Portfolio Underwriter will be responsible for supporting and driving the technical performance and portfolio strategy of the Property Line of Business across Commercial Lines, totalling approximately £1B GWP across all segments.

**A bit about the job**:
As a key partner to the business with a high degree of influence, this role is accountable to understand SME/GCS performance issues at class/segment and channel level to direct action, influence priorities and find opportunities and threats to underwriting performance.

As part of the CUO team, other key responsibilities include review of risk appetite, technical wordings, and driving improvement in wordings, processes and frameworks, pricing or strategy, as well as working closely with Pricing Teams to ensure pricing models are driving the desired outcomes.

A significant part of this role includes building effective working relationships with key collaborators within Actuarial, Claims, Finance, Legal and Sales in addition to the commercial leadership teams.

**Skills and experience we're looking for**:

- ACII or equivalent qualification
- 7-10+ years of technical property underwriting combined with portfolio management experience in a Commercial Lines environment
- Experience with driving underwriting strategies into the business, leading projects, deep dive activities and knowledge of different pricing models
- Knowledge of SME through to Global Corporate & Specialty business
- Ability to build strong partnerships and collaborate with key stakeholders across the organization
