To work alongside the Divisional Head to be primarily accountable for the Commercial Worldwide class of business at the Company as well as working across a range of classes & products in the Property DivisionLocation: LondonType: PermanentKey Duties (Including but not limited to):To be responsible for the adherence to the agreed business plan and ultimately, underwriting performance, for the World-wide Property and Property classesTo work with the Portfolio Management team, to define and refine the underwriting appetite and take steps to ensure the Company’s portfolio is in line with said appetite to maintain a profitable portfolioTo liaise with the Account Management team and assist in strategic conversations with Broker partners when required to communicate underwriting appetite and rationale. Alongside the Distribution team, define, develop, and deliver the underwriting strategy and its translation into a deliverable Distribution strategyBe accountable for providing insight for various committees, including but not limited to the Portfolio Underwriting Committee, Reserving Committee and Major Loss PanelTrack record of success in the development and execution of commercially viable strategies, with high standards of delivery in a timely, cost-effective wayA commercial understanding of underwriting. Able to assimilate into strategic discussions around the structuring and management of portfoliosExperience of working in the London and Lloyd’s insurance marketsIdeally knowledge across more than one class of business #J-18808-Ljbffr
