For our branch in Guernsey, we are looking for a Head of Human Resources who will be a trusted advisor to the business, shaping and delivering the people strategy and ensuring organisational development to support the achievement of our business objectives.
**YOUR CHALLENGE**:
- Lead a small team of HR professionals
- Challenge the business with new ideas and offer creative solutions to complex matters
- A hands-on approach and the ability to work in a matrix structure are essential
- Review, source and oversee administration of local benefits and pension plan
- Collaborate with local Salary Survey providers and HR Rewards & Performance Management in the head office in any compensation-related topic through to identifying and raising local needs (e.g., remuneration policy, remuneration report, salary benchmarking), implementing global processes and standards, and ensuring the local compensation governance and regulatory requirements
- Ensure and oversee a proper payroll process in collaboration with the external payroll provider and in line with Guernsey regulations
- Partner with the branch leadership team and Julius Baer Academy in Zurich and London to identify learning and development needs and to support an attractive learning offering
- Work with internal clients and specialists, as well as external counsel as required to mediate in employee relations cases, negotiate and settle employment cases
- Represent HR on the Guernsey Branch Management Board
**YOUR PROFILE**:
- Masters’ Degree or equivalent level of education in HR or professional work qualification acquired
- Minimum of 5 years managerial experience in Human Resources in private banking or the financial industry
- Mature approach with the ability to successfully interact with Senior Management, high level of empathy, charisma, managerial courage, power of persuasion and persistence
- Strong HR Generalist knowledge
- Strong communicator and able to communicate clearly, succinctly, and consistently whilst taking account of the relevant stakeholder/audience
- Drive for results and ability to set priorities, coordinate processes, meet tight deadlines and reprioritise tasks if needed
